MILEY CYRUS AUCTIONS CLOTHES FOR CHARITY
MILEY CYRUS is giving her fans the chance to imitate her style -
she's selling off her clothes for charity.
The Hannah Montana star has raised eyebrows in recent months with
her increasingly racy stage outfits.
Now the 17-year-old singer/actress is clearing out her closet - she
will auction off garments and accessories online to raise money for
Get Ur Good On, an organisation aimed at encouraging youngsters to use
voluntary services.
In a filmed message on the charity's website, Cyrus says, "For me I
get this amazing blessing and opportunity to (connect with people)
every day and get up on stage and hopefully inspire people with my
music. And that's something that's really important to me, but so is
getting involved in charities."
And the Party In The U.S.A. hitmaker is adamant her fans should try
to help friends and family every day: "There's amazing charities right
here in America. You don't have to travel 30 hours... you don't have
to give a billion dollars. It's not about how much or how far, it's
about looking at your neighbours and seeing how you can help. This
isn't just stuff that's all over the world, it's right here, it's
right next to you. It's important to get involved."
